The auditions will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on July 19 at the Doles Center. There will be individual singers, group performances, spoken word artists, dancers and vocalists of all ages.
Those interested in auditioning must email, mail or hand deliver a press kit that includes a high resolution, 8 by 10-inch photo, a biography, contract information and work samples. It can be sent electronically to cwebb@wlsmail.org or by hand to the Arts on Third Festival, c/o the Department of Human Resources on the second floor at Mount Vernon City Hall. Press kits should be received no later than July 12.
Last year, Arts on Third drew more than 40,000 people from throughout Westchester. Volunteers are needed to help the free music, arts and education festival run smoothly.
The festival, which was founded in 1999, is one of lower Westchester’s largest cultural events. It offers local artists the opportunity to showcase music, theater film, literature and other performance arts.
