Eastchester Students Display Talents At Annual Arts Festival

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The annual Eastchester School District Arts Festival will be in full swing this weekend with a full slate of events on Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14.

The festival showcases the talent of all students, grades K-12, in a weeklong celebration of the arts that includes a vast array of work filling the entire gym with paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, jewelry and photography. 

In addition to the art show, EHS National Art Honor Society members will teach community members how to print a monotype in a special workshop. There will be a separate workshop for children. Sign up for the workshop at djohnson@eastchester.k12.ny.us

Here's the schedule of events:

  • May 12 to May 17: K-12 Art Exhibition HS Gym from 3 to 6:30 p.m. weekdays; 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
  • Saturday May 14: Printmaking Workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. in Studio H006. Open to all.
  • Children’s Printmaking Workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. in Gym Lobby.
  • Tuesday, May 17: Closing Reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Musical selections begin at 6 p.m. with the National Art Honor Society Induction following at 6:30 p.m.
