Pirate School Coming To Tuckahoe Next Week

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Children around Eastchester and Bronxville will have the chance to learn the ways of the sea next week when the Pirate School comes to the Tuckahoe Public Library.

Pirate host David Engel will teach participants how to “arrggh” like a pirate and how to dive for doubloons as the library marks the end of the summer reading program.

Pirate School will teach children crazy and zany lessons from the perspective of pirate professor Billy Bones, who will be played by Engel. Pirate School has toured the tri-state area, with Engel performing at camps, schools and other libraries.

The music-filled, family-friendly event will be open to all local children between the ages of 3 and 10. Engel warns that there will be Costumes are encouraged, and registration is required.

The event will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 16 at the library. To register, call the library at (914) 961-2121.
