The event is set for 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at the New York Athletic Club on Travers Island in Pelham Manor, according to a press release. The event is the foundation's only fund-raiser and "provides the largest means of support for all the programs and grants they provide each year," according to the release.
"The Tuckahoe School Foundation awards non-school budgetary grant requests from Tuckahoe teachers for key academic items to enrich the education of the children in the Tuckahoe schools," representatives said in the release. "Some of the grant recipients include the science fair at the Cottle School, listening stations for the ESL program and SMART slates for the English and Social Studies departments."
Tickets for the evening are $90 in advance or $100 at the door and include a cocktail hour, dinner buffet and an evening of Las Vegas-style table games, according to the release. For more information, residents are asked to visit the Tuckahoe School Foundation's website.
