The Bingo Night event is set for 7 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 10 Mill Road in New Rochelle. The night will feature bingo, silent auctions, prizes, a raffle and desserts, according to a press release from the group. The entry fee is $15 in advance or $20 on the night of the event for adults 21 and older.

The funds raised during the night will go toward "much-needed upgrades and renovations at the Girl Scout Cabin on Highland Avenue in Eastchester," according to the release. The cabin was built in 1958 but it has "begun to show its age and is in need of major capital improvements, including a new boiler, electrical upgrades, energy-efficient improvements, handicap accessibility, new doors and windows," representatives said in the release.

"The Girl Scouts are an integral part of our local culture with over seven decades of community service," according to the release. "The cabin is a vital meeting place for over 500 girls and more than 100 adult volunteers from Bronxville, Tuckahoe, Eastchester and surrounding communities."

The Girl Scouts have raised "thousands of dollars" for the building fund, according to the release, and those looking to make contributions are asked to send checks payable to Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson (noted Tuckahoe/Eastchester cabin).

Residents can reserve a table for up to 10 people for Bingo Night by going to the Tuckahoe/Eastchester Girl Scouts website or by emailing teagirlscouts@gmail.com. Those looking for more information on the building fund can can contact Judy Fix at (914) 779-4372.
