What To Do Around Eastchester This Week

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Several library programs and a magic show are among the events scheduled around Eastchester and Tuckahoe this week.

Monday, Dec. 24

Christmas Eve: Santa Claus is on his way. Tuckahoe village offices are closed for the holiday.

Winter Recess: Schools will be closed until Jan. 2.

December Mini-camps: 9 a.m. A wide variety of vacation programs are offered at the JCC of Mid-Westchester that incorporate sports, arts, swimming, lunch, movies or cooking. $50-$70 per day. 999 Wilmot Road, Scarsdale.

Tuesday, Dec. 25

Christmas Day: Eastchester Town Hall, Tuckahoe Village Hall and the public libraries will be closed.

Wednesday, Dec. 26

Holiday Open Gym: 10 a.m. Gymboree is welcoming children to play at its Scarsdale location during the holidays. 450 Central Park Ave., Scarsdale.

Family Movie: 1:30 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will screen “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days” for families. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Legos at the Library: 4 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library presents Legos at the Library for children ages 5-10. Children build with Legos, which will be displayed at the library until the next program. Call the library to register: 914-961-2121. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Thursday, Dec. 27

Magic Show: 2 p.m. Bob Conrad will host a show that features a blend of entertainment featuring winter magic, puppet shows and ventriloquism. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Teen Video Games: 4 p.m. Video games will be offered at the Tuckahoe Public Library for children in grades six and above, featuring Nintendo Wii. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.
