What To Do Around Eastchester This Weekend

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – The Eastchester High School Winter Dance, a defensive-driving class and a concert highlight the events scheduled in Eastchester this weekend.

Friday, Jan. 11

Preschool Story Time: 11 a.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will host its regular story time for preschoolers, ages 2-5 years. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

E-book Help: 3 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will host its weekly class instructing adults in the use of e-books. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Film Series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue its winter film series with a screening of “The Bourne Legacy,” starring Jeremy Renner. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Winter Dance: 7 p.m. Eastchester High School will have its winter dance for students. 580 White Plains Road, Eastchester.

Music at the Park: 9:30 p.m. Park 143 Bistro will showcase guest artist John James playing rock and soul. Guests will receive a free Park Bellini. 143 Parkway Road, Bronxville.

Saturday, Jan. 12

Babies and Bagels: 9:15 a.m. This informal, drop-in playgroup is for babies and toddlers with their moms, dads, caregivers and grandparents. All are welcome. No fee. Westchester Reform Temple, 255 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Defensive-driving Class: 9:30 a.m. The AARP defensive-driving class will be hosted at the Eastchester Public Library. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Children’s Art Class: 9:45 a.m. Children ages 3-5 can gain confidence in self-expression through painting, sculpting, drawing, collage, dramatic play and more at Gymboree. 450 Central Park Ave., Scarsdale

Open House: 10 a.m. The French-American School of New York Preschool will have an open house. Parents and prospective students are welcome to learn about the bilingual program. 85 Palmer Ave., Scarsdale.

Sunday, Jan. 13

Midland Music: 3 p.m. The professional music series of the Bronxville Women’s Club will open its winter series with a performance by violinist Joyce Rasmussen Balint and DuoEssence. $20. 135 Midland Ave., Bronxville.
