Tuesday, July 31
Social needlers: 11 a.m. to Noon. Bring in a needlecraft project to work on while getting to know fellow handicrafters at the Bronxville Public Library. This is a social hour; no formal instruction will be given. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.
Film series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue its film series when it screens The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, starring Daniel Craig. Runtime is 158 minutes. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.
Wild West film: The Bronxville Public Library will screen Stagecoach starring John Wayne. Runtime is 97 minutes. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Thursday, August 2
Film series: 2:30-4:30 p.m. The Bronxville Public Library will screen King Creole, starring Elvis as a singing busboy in New Orleans. Runtime is 115 minutes. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.
Shakespearean Play: The Bronxville Womens Club invites the public to the PiPE DREAM Theatre for a presentation of A Midsummer Nights Dream. The performances will be on the patio at the club. $5 suggested donation. 135 Midland Ave., Bronxville.
