EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe has named village resident Jeff Rohr as its new president for the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
Rohr, who has lived in Bronxville for nearly a decade, has been on the Community Fund Board for five years, having previously served as treasurer and president-elect. He is succeeding outgoing President Betsy Goodell.
Aside from his responsibilities with the Community Fund, Rohr is an active member in the community. Among other organizations, he serves on the Bronxville Board of Education, the Homeownership Preservation Foundation and is a member of the board of directors of American Express Centurian Bank.
“For 95 years, the Community Fund has helped make our community a great place to live,” he said. “The Community Fund is totally committed to helping people in our community, and I am proud to be a part of a great group of dedicated community leaders working together to make a difference.”
Rohr headlines a host of changes coming to the Community Fund Board. Katharine Outcalt will serve as the president-elect, with Judi McCandless as her secretary and Mark Welshimer will be the organization’s treasurer. Melinda Burge will continue in her role as executive director of the Community Fund.
The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe was founded in 1919. It is a non-profit organization that applies for grants and raises money for programs and organizations in the town.
“I am truly excited about this year,” Burge said. “The new talent joining the board is exceptional and with the experience and expertise of our returning board members, combined with the leadership of Jeff and the other officers, I am sure we will have a successful year.”
