Eastchester Nurse Practitioner Spotlighted At Statewide Health Conference

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State honored Eastchester resident Joy Elwell at its annual conference in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

She was recognized for her contributions to the state’s health-care system.

New York State Health Commissioner Donna Frescatore was also at the event. She is Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s point person to implement New York State’s health exchange in compliance with the Affordable Care Act.

Jeanne Martin, a nurse practitioner from Port Jefferson Station was also honored.

More than 600 nurse practitioners from throughout the state gathered at the conference to learn the latest information on primary care-giving.
