EASTCHESTER, N.Y. Rocco V. Salerno of Scarsdale died April 6 at White Plains Hospital. He was 77.
Salerno was a retired police officer for the Eastchester Police Department.
He was born March 5, 1935 in Bronxville to John and Catherine Foley Salerno. A former police officer, Salerno worked for Eastchester Police Department for 21 years until retiring in December 1985.
Salerno is survived by his wife Diane, son Rocco V. Salerno Jr., four daughters Kristine Verno, Susan Scomillio, Carol Sanfilipo and Kathi Kilgallon, and 13 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Kathryn Salerno and two daughters Kathi Mazzari and Karin Ranellone.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes in Scarsdale. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
