“The launch of our campaign is always an exciting time,” Katharine Outcalt, Community Fund president, said. “Every fall we sit on the brink of possibility that the Community Fund will be able to reach further into enriching the lives of our residents. There are wonderful agencies and programs in our community that rely on our help to offer important services across a wide range of needs.”

She added, “We are fortunate to have residents that recognize the importance of giving where they live, and we hope for this year’s campaign to be bigger than ever.”

The Community Fund supports agencies and community programs that provide services to towns in the area, such as family initiatives like cancer support, bereavement and drug/alcohol counseling; senior living assistance and transportation, house cleaning, shopping and recreational help; youth support, including after-school, teen and summer programs, and drug and substance abuse education; and health care funding, including flu shots and end-of-life counseling, and the purchase of ambulances.

“The Community Fund has such a significant impact on so many of our residents at all stages of their lives,” Doug Meyer, campaign co-chair for Bronxville, said. “Many of the organizations that we support wouldn’t be able to serve our communities without the generosity of our donors.”

Other co-chairs for the campaign are Annette Healey Dowling for Bronxville, and Neal Denning and Susan Kutzin for Eastchester/Tuckahoe.

“As a lifelong resident of Eastchester, I know how special our community is, and one thing that makes it special is The Community Fund,” Denning said. “We are all passionate about many causes. Having been an evaluator, and now as campaign co-chair, I can attest to the importance The Community Fund has throughout our town.”
