- Eastchester resident Adam Serrecchia, 38, was arrested and charged because he failed to make the court-ordered restitution in connection with a conviction of an animal cruelty case in 2008, police said. He was accused of failing to pay costs associated with the dog’s treatment after the attack.
- A motorcycle run in Eastchester was part of the remembrance of the terrorist attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001.
- A bill that would move the Eastchester Fire District election date passed the state Senate in June, but remains in limbo and has not yet been forwarded to Gov. Andrew Cuomo for approval.
