Two Arrested on Warrants in Tuckahoe and Released

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – A check of a suspicious vehicle on Lake Avenue last Wednesday turned up two people with warrants and one with marijuana, according to Tuckahoe Police Department Lt. Peggy Belles.

Four people were in the vehicle when an officer approached to investigate. One was issued a violation notice for possession of marijuana. When the officer checked the identification of the others, two had warrants from other jurisdictions and were arrested and taken to the police station.

Further investigation, however, showed one of the warrants, for marijuana possession, was expired. The other, for theft of services from New York City, was active, but no one responded from that department when Tuckahoe made multiple notifications, Belles said, and the person was released.
