EASTCHESTER, N.Y. There will be lots to do around Eastchester and Tuckahoe this weekend, as local high schools will celebrate the graduations of the class of 2012. Friday, June 22
Eastchester Graduation: 10 a.m. Eastchester students will celebrate the last day of school and members of the class of 2012 will graduate at the high school. 580 White Plains Road, Eastchester.
Tai Chi class: There will be an introductory level Tai Chi class that is open to all students at the West Center Congregational Church. Take a trial class for $25 or observe a class in session. 101 Pondfield Road West, Bronxville.
Film series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will present A Dangerous Method, starring Viggo Mortensen. Run time is 99 minutes. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.
Open gym: There will be an open gym session for residents looking for weekend recreation, held at the Tuckahoe Community Center. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.
Tuckahoe Graduation: 5:45 p.m. Friends and families will celebrate the class of 2012 as they graduate from Tuckahoe High School. The rest of the student body will enjoy the last day of school and the beginning of their summer vacation. 65 Siwanoy Blvd., Eastchester.
Saturday, June 23
Meditation: 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Master Domingo Colon, Tai Chi instructor with more than 45 years experience, is teaching an ongoing meditation and Chi Kung class. It is for experienced individuals. Trial class is $25 at the West Center Congregational Church. 101 Pondfield Road West, Bronxville.
County shredder: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Westchester County Mobile Shredder will be at the Tuckahoe Community Center. Residents are invited to bring paper they would like to have shredded to the site. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.
Tugboat Day: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Celebrate the Hudson River Tugboat Day in Yonkers with fun for the whole family. Free activities include dockside tours of historic boats, making tugboats out of recycled materials and viewing the classic Disney cartoon Little Toot at the Beczak Environmental Education Center. 35 Alexander St., Yonkers.
Saturday worship: 5:30 p.m. The Village Lutheran Church is hosting an opportunity to attend a Saturday service. 172 White Plains Road, Bronxville.
Sunday, June 24
Services: 10 a.m. Saint Lukes Episcopal Church will host the Holy Eucharist followed by a coffee hour. 98 Stewart Ave., Eastchester.
