EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Catherine A. Collins, a 38-year resident of Eastchester, died Sept. 2. She was 68.
Collins was born Feb. 14, 1945, in New York City, to Helen and J. Donald Walsh, DDS. She grew up in Riverdale and graduated from Marymount College in Arlington, Va. She worked for the Cancer Support Team, a Westchester non-profit, for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2010.
Collins is survived by her husband, Stephen; daughters, Anne Collins Loos (James) and Kathryn Collins (Nicholas D’Ambrosio); three grandchildren; and siblings, J. Donald Walsh (Judy), Mary Jane Voute Arrigoni (Edward), Michael Walsh (Helen), and James Walsh (Lauren).
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven, Hawthorne.
