EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Grace Failla, of Tuckahoe ,died on Wednesday, April 6. She was 95.
She was born in New York City on Nov. 27, 1920 to Jasper and Concetta (Giarratano) Failla. She lived in the Bronx before moving to Tuckahoe.
She worked for Railway Express and Barclays Bank in Tuckahoe.
Failla was a member of the Eastchester Seniors and the Lake Isle Country Club. She was a charter founder of the American Family Immigration History Center at Ellis Island and the Society of Statue of Liberty Foundation.
She is survived by a sister, Lorraine Mastrogiovanni.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Salvatore and Diego Failla and sisters, Josephine Circelli and Yolanda Ferrante.
Visitation will be at the Westchester Funeral Home Inc., 190 Main St., Eastchester on Sunday, April 17, from 2 to 4 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe, on Monday, April 18, at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery in The Bronx. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the American Cancer Society.
