EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Leonard Elting, a resident of Eastchester for 43 years, died Oct. 7. He was 92.
Elting was born in the Bronx and raised in Brooklyn, son of Sol and Rose Elting. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
Elting is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Ellen Elting and Dianne (Larry) Mitchelson; two grandchildren; nieces, nephew; and brothers-in-law, Dr. David (Janet) Sachs and Dr. Barry Sachs. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Annette Saffer.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Sinai Free Synagogue, 550 North Columbus Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY 10552.
