Louis J. Carideo, Sr., 89, Longtime Eastchester Resident, Electrician

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Louis J. Carideo Sr., a 50 year resident of Eastchester, died July 5. He was 89.

Carideo was born Oct. 1, 1923, to Julius and Anna (Spaziante) Carideo who were lifetime residents of Mt. Vernon. He worked as an electrician with IBEW Local 3 for over 30 years and was a World War II veteran.

Carideo is survived by his children, Carol Pietarinen (George), Louis Carideo, and Joseph Carideo (Jill); seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Irene Tignonsini and Michael Carideo. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion.

A funeral service will be held Monday, July 8 at 1 p.m. at The Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., Eastchester, with interment to follow at Beechwoods Cemetery.
