Board of Fire Commissioners Set Budget Meeting

EASTCHESTSER, N.Y. -- The Eastchester Board of Fire Commissioners will have its final meeting on the 2016 budget and other items beginning at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

In addition to discussing the budget, the commissioners will present the Fire District Awards Ceremony at the Bronxville Village Hall Public Meeting Room, 200 Pondfield Road, Bronxville. The budget meeting follows at 7:30 p.m. and the general commission meeting is at 8 p.m.

Please note; the budget date of Tuesday, October 20, is determined by law as all fire districts must have their annual budget hearing on this date.

During the board's September meeting, the commission approved a proposed 2016 budget that did not raise property taxes and was below the tax cap.
