ID Released For Motorcyclist Killed In Overnight Westchester Crash

A motorcyclist who suffered serious injuries in a crash late Thursday night on southbound I-87 near the Westchester/Bronx border has died, state police said late Friday morning.

Gerardo Semidey, 44, of the Bronx was operating a 2006 Honda motorcycle when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a concrete barrier, was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained massive injuries, according to state police.

He was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.

The crash, which occurred around 11:41 p.m. in Yonkers near the Major Deegan, is still being investigated by state police.
