Harlem Wizards To Take On Eastchester Faculty

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Faculty members in the Eastchester School District are dropping their books and pencils, strapping on their headbands and gearing up to square off against the Harlem Wizards basketball team.

For the ninth time, the Harlem Wizards - renowned for their trick shots and alley-oops – will face the Eastchester School Faculty team in a battle for basketball supremacy at the Eastchester High School Gymnasium.

“The Wizards look to push the envelope on fun, combining pre-planned comedic acts with spontaneous humor that fans of all ages will find funny,” the Harlem Wizard website says.

There will be a halftime show, in which children in the audience can storm the court and interact with the Wizard players. After the game, the team will be signing autographs for the masses.

This is one of the Eastchester School Foundation’s most popular events, and those interested in attending are encouraged to order their tickets early. Last year’s event sold out quickly.

The game will be held at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, April 6. Tickets can be purchased in advanced by visiting the Eastchester School Foundation website. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the foundation.
