BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Maggie the comfort dog, one of Time Magazine’s Most Influential Animals of 2013 paid a visit to the Chapel School in Bronxville on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Maggie is a trained comfort dog who interacts with people at schools, churches, disaster response situations and other events.

Students were able to meet Maggie in the school library and watch a slideshow of her in action. Following the slideshow they had a question and answer session with Maggie's handlers.

“In a world with so much going on, it is great that Maggie is able to bring peace and calm to those she visits,” a school official said in a statement.
