Tuckahoe School District Reorganizes Leadership

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Tuckahoe Union Free School District has announced the establishment of a new leadership team.

The board had already selected Assistant Superintendent Carl Albano to become the new superintendent beginning Aug. 1.

To assist Albano in making the transition, Charles Wilson was retained as interim superintendent. 

Once Albano’s appointment was made in December, he and the board began looking for a new director of finance, said the release.

The board selected Lee Lew, treasurer from Katonah- Lewisboro Schools, who will start as the new director of finance and facilities on July 1.

The board also created the new role of athletic director, physical education and health supervisor, which will be filled by Austin Goldberg who will start in this new position on July 1. 

Ellen McDonnell has been selected as Albano’s replacement as assistant superintendent. She will leave her current position as Middle School principal. The district undertook a search and expects to announce a new Middle School Principal soon. 

The recent resignation of the secondary assistant principal is also on track to be replaced later this month or by early July, according to the release.
