Tuckahoe Schools Begin Registering For Kindergarten In January

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- The Tuckahoe Union Free School district will hold kindergarten registration for for September 2016 in January.

Children who will be five years of age by Dec. 1, 2016, are eligible to attend kindergarten.

Parents/legal guardians are urged to register children according to the following schedule, utilizing the first letter of the child’s last name:A-L, Jan. 27, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; M-Z, Thursday, Jan. 28, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Registration takes place at the William E. Cottle Elementary School, 2 Siwanoy Blvd. in Eastchester, in the auditorium.

Parents/legal guardians are required to present the following documents at registration time: Three (3) proofs of residence.

Bring originals and copies of the following:

1. Property tax bill, deed, co-op shares, or a signed current lease (valid through June 2017)

2. Con Edison bill, cable bill, phone bill, or current income tax return

3. New York State driver's license, New York State registration or New York State insurance card with your current address and child's proof of age( birth certificate, passport, baptismal certificate, etc.) and child's immunization record, including date of last physical exam.

If you are divorced or separated, bring a copy of your custody agreement.
