The four-day camp ran from Aug. 10-13. The basketball camp had a record enrollment of roughly 70 campers from the area.

"Our sixth year of camp was another fantastic experience," Sondey said. "The campers' talent level, desire and work ethic get better every year. We have a lot of return campers that love the idea of competition, and this really drives the camp. I am always impressed by the willingness to learn the game that all of our campers display, and they have positive attitudes. Our summer program is unique because our student-athletes truly believe in giving back to kids and teaching the game that they love."

Sondey was referring to members of the Clippers men's basketball team who helped out during the week. Players who worked as coaches at the camp included Mohamed Abass, Jamie Holder, Rome Jenkins, Elijah Brown, Michael Fields, Cedrick McFadden, Peter Aguilar, AJ Burton, Stephen Milhaven, Michael Dwyer and Brian Brooks.

Assistant coach John Cavaliere also played a large role in helping to oversee the day-to-day operations.

"The ability to run a strong camp comes from the foundation of a strong athletic department and the support from campus," said Sondey.

This fall the Concordia men's basketball program will hold its sixth annual Friday Night Clinics during September and October at the Meyer Athletic Center.
