Daly has been an absolute scoring machine for the Eagles this season and led Eastchester to two tournament wins in December.

Daly scored 22 points in a win against Roosevelt at the Eastchester Holiday Tournament, then added 19 in a championship game win against Panas.

"We just started up the second half of the season  with a victory against Sleepy Hollow," Daly said. "The team is looking forward to league play and one of our team goals is to win the league. So far this year the team has been looking great."

The junior guard poured in a season-high 46 points in a Dec. 6 game against Somers in which he hit 17 free throws. Daly outdueled Somers’ John Decker, who had 31 points.

Daly continued to impress, with 31 points against Riverside in a 74-69 win in the championship game of the Ardsley Holiday Tournament. He then scored 25 points in a 68-63 win against Gorton on Dec. 12.

Daly has been the go-to guy for Eastchester this season after Dave Solano graduated. And thus far, Daly has proven that he deserves such a large role.

"We have a very deep bench as we play nine to 10 guys a game allowing us to play an up- tempo style of basketball and wear other teams down," Daly said. "We've also relied on our tenacious defense to create turnovers and lead to easy transition buckets. The team chemistry has also played a huge role to our team's success. We each have the same goal every time we step foot on the court, which is to win."
