EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Eastchester students and faculty members will be pitted against their counterparts in Tuckahoe on Friday in the ninth annual Augie Nardone Basketball Scholarship Tournament.

The game is played in honor of Nardone, a former Eastchester police officer who was involved with youth sports in both communities. Proceeds from the event will be designated for a scholarship given in Nardone’s name at the Eastchester Eagles Annual Club Awards Dinner in June.

At 5 p.m., there will be a tug-of-war for elementary school students, followed by the faculties of each school going head to head in a basketball game. After the faculty game, there will be a foul-shooting contest for those who  sign up at the check-in table. The night will conclude with the varsity basketball teams squaring off at the Eagles Nest.

Admission for students and children is $3; adults, $5. Admission includes a raffle ticket for prizes drawn throughout the evening.
