CARY, N.C. -- The Total Kaos 18-and-under travel softball was a perfect 3-0 in pool play Sunday at the PONY Fastpitch Softball Nationals.
The team returns to action at 11:40 a.m. Monday.
Kaos opened with an 11-3 win against Fillies Fastpitch (Pa.) behind Ursuline graduate and current Manhattanville College sophomore Kirsten Rodopoulos. New Rochelles Stephanie Fosina tossed a shutout in a 6-0 victory versus the Maryland Crush and Eastchesters Anna Crowley followed Fosinas excellent performance with one of her own as Kaos silenced the Carolina (NC) Screamers, 13-1.
Rodopoulos and Crowley also added some power on the offensive side. Rodopoulos slugged two home runs and Crowley ripped one. Recent Harrison graduate Jenna Webb, who will attend Springfield College next fall and play softball, also crushed a home run.
Kaos manager Ron Tenzyk said Jessica Magnotta, a Manhattanville sophomore and Harrison alumnus, also led the offense.
