TUCKAHOE, N.Y. The Tuckahoe boys basketball team completed a perfect regular season Thursday, scoring more than 100 points for the second straight game in a 112-34 victory over Clark Academy.
The defending Section 1 Class C champion Tigers finished the season at 18-0 and won the League 2-A championship with a record of 9-0 on their way to next weeks postseason playoffs.
We are all family on this team and I know that the team has each others backs through thick and thin no matter what, senior guard Shyheim Nixon said. We were blessed enough to go 18-0 in the regular season. Now all bets are off, records go to 0-0. We just have to take care of business.
Mark Raymond scored a season-high 20 point and added 11 rebounds and four steals and Sky Williams added 21 points, five steals and four assists for Tuckahoe.
Brian OToole scored 14 points, Justin Nolan and Nick Reisman each added 12 points and Tyler Friere contributed 11 points and nine assists for the Tigers.
Brandon Horsford led Clark Academy with 17 points.
