WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. - Motorists planning on traveling on the Hutchinson River Parkway this week can expect delays as the New York State Department of Transportation prepares for lane and ramp closures in Mount Vernon and Pelham.
The NYSDOT issued an alert cautioning that lane and ramp closures are expected on the parkway between Exit 8 (Sandford Boulevard) and Exit 12 (East Lincoln Avenue) beginning on Monday, Nov. 13, while construction crews perform work in the area.
The closures are expected to last through Friday, Nov. 17.
Right lane closures are expected on the northbound lanes nightly between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. There will be nightly closures southbound between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
During that time, the Exit 9 (Wolfs Lane) ramp will be closed northbound, while the southbound Exit 10 (East 3rd Street) ramp will be closed.
Motorists can expect delays during construction, and detours and signage will be posted to assist motorists and ease the flow of traffic.
