Driver Dies In Fiery Crash On I-84 In Putnam County A person was killed in a fiery crash on a busy Hudson Valley highway, police announced.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Monday, May 6, around 7:15 p.m., when a vehicle traveling on I-84 in Kent left the roadway and struck a tree, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. Dutchess County Sheriff's Office members discovered the cats at a home in Dover on Saturday, May 4. According to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to the home for a report of animal cruelty. Upon investigation, 90 cats were in poor health and were rescued by deputies and volunteer animal rescue workers.
