Part of Interstate 81 has reopened following a crash in Central Pennsylvania, authorities say. An empty tractor-trailer rolled down an embankment on I-81 around 10 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, authorities told Daily Voice. The driver has been hospitalized according to Pennsylvania State Police. The fuel tank of the tractor-trailer ruptured in the crash, state police explained. Someone "self-extricated" from a sedan following a messy rollover crash in Chambersburg on Thursday, authorities say. The car landed on its roof in the 800 block of Lincoln Way West at 7:53 a.m. on July 20, 2023, according to the Franklin Fire Company. Emergency Medical Services evaluated the driver at the scene and no injuries were reported. Fire crews handled the spilled fluids from the vehicle and cleaned up the debris. All lanes of traffic are open.

Norfolk Southern Train Hits Car In Central PA: Authorities
A car was struck by a Norfolk Southern train in Hershey on Wednesday morning, authorities say. The collision happened on East Derry Road just after 3:30 a.m. on July 19, 2023. At 7:21 a.m., Derry Township police announced that the road will remain closed for about three to four hours, and the public should find alternative routes.
